Each person is photographed individually, so they can review and approve their image. Back at the studio each person is professionally retouched and then composited into the larger group. Image 2 only required that the new addition be photographed. The original two did not have to be re-photographed. Likewise image 3 only required the new gentleman to be photographed. The individual images are very high definition so they can also serve as individual headshots.
